Using a unique and sustainable cultivation process, dried black soldier fly larvae (well-known for their nutritional properties) are grown under controlled conditions. 

The larvae feed off of unconsumed fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. Then, the larvae are dried and mixed with essential amino acids and minerals to offer a nutritional daily diet.

Here's a homemade cat treat recipe to try with Bug Bites™:

• Rehydrate your Bug Bites™ in water for 5-10 minutes

• Use a stand mixer or food processor to mix the treats with:

• 1 1/4 cups of flour (grain-free, coconut flour, or whole wheat flour)

• 3 tbsp of olive, coconut, or vegetable oil

• 1 whole egg

• 1 tsp of dried catnip

• 1/3 cup of mashed banana or shredded carrot

• 3/4 cup of one (1) as your main ingredient for taste:

• Tuna fish

• Canned salmon

• Organic chicken (cooked)

• Water (as needed)

• Roll out the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet

• Using a fork, prick the dough, without cutting through the parchment paper

• Cut into small, bite-sized pieces with a pizza wheel

• Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375°

• Take out and allow the treats to cool before serving

• Place treats in an airtight container to store
